General Questions
What is Another RNG?
Another RNG is a simple tool that generates random numbers based on parameters you specify. It's designed to be straightforward and easy to use - you simply tell it how many numbers you need and the range they should be selected from.
The app works entirely in your browser with no server-side processing, which means your data never leaves your device.
Is this app affiliated with any lottery or gambling service?
No. Another RNG is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any lottery, gambling service, or official number drawing organization. It is an independent tool created solely for entertainment and general utility purposes.
Any use of the numbers generated by this application for lottery, gambling, or betting purposes is done at your own risk and discretion.
Do I need to create an account to use Another RNG?
No. Another RNG does not require any account creation, registration, or login. You can use it immediately without providing any personal information.
How to Use
How do I generate random numbers?
To generate random numbers, follow these simple steps:
- Enter how many base numbers you need
- Set the range for these numbers (from minimum to maximum)
- Decide if you want to include a special number (optional)
- If you chose to include a special number, set its range
- Click "Generate Numbers"
Your randomly generated numbers will appear immediately. If you're not happy with the results, you can click "Regenerate" to get a new set of random numbers with the same parameters.
What is a "special number"?
A special number is an additional number generated separately from your main set of numbers. Many lottery games have a "bonus" or "powerball" number that's drawn from a different set of numbers, and this feature lets you simulate that.
The special number has its own range (minimum to maximum) that you can set independently from your main numbers.
Can I save or share my generated numbers?
The app automatically saves your last 5 sets of generated numbers in your browser's localStorage. These saved results will remain available until you refresh the page or close the browser.
There's no built-in sharing feature, but you can always take a screenshot or manually copy the numbers to share them.
Technical Questions
How random are the numbers generated?
Another RNG uses JavaScript's built-in random number generation, which produces pseudo-random numbers. These are suitable for casual games, simulations, and entertainment purposes, but are not cryptographically secure.
For most everyday purposes, including simulating lottery draws for fun, these numbers are sufficiently random. However, if you need truly random numbers for security or cryptographic purposes, you should use a specialized service.
Does the app work offline?
Once the app is loaded in your browser, it can continue to function without an internet connection. All processing happens locally in your browser, and no server communication is needed to generate numbers.
What happens to my data?
Another RNG stores your generation history temporarily in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device - we don't collect, process, or store any of your data on our servers.
The localStorage data is cleared when you refresh the page or close the browser, as mentioned in the app description.
Limitations & Disclaimers
Can I use this for picking lottery numbers?
While you technically can use Another RNG to generate numbers that match the format of lottery games, please understand that:
- All lottery numbers have an equal chance of being drawn
- No random number generator can predict future lottery draws
- Using this app provides no advantage over any other method of picking numbers
- We take no responsibility for any losses incurred through gambling or lottery play
The app is provided for entertainment purposes only, and any use for gambling is at your own risk.
What are the limitations on number ranges?
Another RNG supports generating numbers from 1 to 99. This range should be sufficient for most common lottery systems and general random number needs.
Additionally, the number of base numbers you request must be less than or equal to the size of your range. For example, if you set a range of 1-10, you cannot generate more than 10 unique numbers.
Currently, you can request up to 24 base numbers in a single generation.
Is there any guarantee that my numbers will win?
Absolutely not. Another RNG makes no guarantees or promises that numbers generated will match any lottery draw, gambling outcome, or other random event.
All numbers have an equal probability of being drawn in a truly random lottery system, and no app or system can predict the outcome of a legitimate random draw.
Please use this app responsibly and be aware of the risks associated with gambling.
